The Lion's Share is a must for anyone looking for a delicious gastropub by San Diego Harbor. This restaurant is hidden by the Seaport Village light rail stop, in a nondescript brick building that is easy to miss for Seaport Village tourists. The atmosphere is quirky, but maybe not the best for your vegan friends: lots of eccentric taxidermy decor and strangely compelling art of animals in interesting situations. You'll have to see it to believe it! Parking is typical of downtown San Diego area, and residential street parking can be competitive at peak hours but lots of paid spots in the Seaport Village lot nearby. The drinks and food are both bomb, plus service is always friendly and on-point! John is an incredible bar lead and slings deliciously chef-driven cocktails. I love Asian-influenced flavors and my go-to is the "Pandan Express" with pandan-infused whiskey, vanilla, and rose. As for the food, if you're a fellow lover of game meats, look no further than Lion's Share! The duck leg confit will change your entire night for the better, super tender and flavorful! For greens, I love the charred broccolini from the appetizer menu, which you can also get during their late-night Happy Hour. Solid selection of craft non-alcoholic mocktails, too! Cheers to The Lion's Share, an epitome of epic bar food in downtown San Diego!

What a unique bar/restaurant. It is as if you stepped into a different world, speakeasy style, and I loved every minute. The bartender (wish I could remember his name) was super welcoming and helpful with the menu. The cocktails were amazing. The veal sliders were delicious. The bison tartar is a must try, never would I ever think I would like that BUT it proved me wrong. The only miss were the wagu cheek tacos, not a favorite. All in all, can't wait to go back again soon!
